The ultrastructural study of Cyclogramma trichocystis and C. blochmanni shows the existence of a stichodyade paroral type and of three adoral organels looking like peniculus. These characters allow us to include the Ciliates of the genus Cyclogramma in the Class Oligohymenophora, Sub-class Hymenostomatida. Beside, the existence of a basket and of a semiautonomus stomatogenesis, added to the preceding characters, allows us to create the new Order of Parahymenostomatida which preceedes those of Hymenostomatida, Scuticociliatida and Astomatida.
