The concentration that characterises urban areas poses many challenges in terms of planning and development. Indeed, the diversity inherent in this environment must be taken into account in order to address inequalities and design an inclusive city. Citizen participation is one way of including the population in discussions and decision-making about the urban environment. It also interacts with the relationship between professionals and residents, by making the most of the knowledge produced by the latter. However, there is no consensus on the ability of this methodology to guarantee a form of spatial justice. This research experiments with planning based on observation of the different uses of public space and the sensitivities of citizens. In this way, it assesses the potential of participatory projects to take account of the multiple lifestyles and power relationships that can exist between individuals. To do this, I collected sensitive data, in the form of discussions, in two areas of Geneva's urban space : la Place de Neuve and le Sentier des Saules.
