Abstract

The author identifies two of the main forms of denaturation linked to the Wars of Religion : the transgression of speech and the deregulation of vocations, of which sedition is one of the clearest manifestations. If the brutalisation of war constitutes the most visible form of denaturation, parallel efforts to humanise the war, and maintain or restore human nature, must also be taken into account.
