Dynamical motifs for computations in language

Abstract

Dynamical motifs have been proposed as a mechanism for building lexical units within the ROSE framework. Given the current lack of neurophysiological evidence for DMs in language processing, this commentary introduces related evidence from animal studies and explores parallels between computations supported by DMs in animal cognition and action and those required for language processing.
