Family support is an emerging paradigm, and it needs further research. The European Family Support Network (EurofamNet) is a COST Action which was approved in 2018 and aims at developing a bottom-up approach to family support by fostering collaboration between researchers and other stakeholders involved in the process. The paper is looking at how collaboration in the project was developed and how the created knowledge was disseminated. Fulfilling outcomes which are context-depended, there is a need for an all-encompassing approach through fostering collaboration and knowledge generation and exchange. EurofamNet members utilised existing knowledge and produced outputs which deepened knowledge on family support. EurofamNet members also used COST tools to further improve collaboration and increase knowledge on family support. The study looks at how the project disseminated the outputs through the EurofamNet website and social networks. Both were essential due to the differing nature of stakeholders involved in the process because there is a need to create knowledge which is accessible and adapted. The number of outputs created in the project, as well as their dissemination, show a successful approach to family support and an example of how similar projects can use this experience.
