Abstract

Photoexcited (UO₂NO₃⁺)_aq is shown to have different structure and thermodynamic formation functions from ground-state (UO₂NO₃⁺)_aq and different photophysical and photochemical parameters from UO²⁺_2(aq). Results are discussed with relation to the electron-transfer nature of the lowest excited state of UO²⁺₂.
