Abstract

X-irradiation of single crystals of triphenylmethylarsonium chloride at room temperature produces a radical which is identified as Ph₃ÅsCl. The EPR parameters indicate that it has a structure intermediate between that of the analogous ṖF₄ and Ph₃ṖCl.
