Abstract

Though the shift of the non-degenerate transitions ⁷F₀−⁵D₀ is only 14 cm⁻¹ between the two Eu(III) complexes, it is possible by varying the temperature of the aqueous solution to confirm previous estimates of the enthalpy connected with loss of constitutional water.
