Abstract The title compound, an achiral flexible molecule containing a 1,2,3-triazole structure as the acceptor subunit, crystallizes as a single enantiomorph in the space group P212121. The material exhibits nonlinear optical properties and is capable of second harmonic generation. Thus, the developed molecular scaffold represents an interesting novel type of NLO chromophore.
