Abstract

This thesis is structured around two main themes: the first is a clinical exploration aimed at identifying predictors of developmental progress in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) following early interventions. The second theme investigates the mechanisms of social attention through eye-tracking to better understand its role in the onset and development of ASD. Additionally, the thesis introduces preliminary results from a randomized controlled trial using gaze-contingent techniques to enhance social attention in these children.
