Direct and indirect regulation of Pom1 cell size pathway by the protein phosphatase 2C Ptc1

Abstract

This article probes the function of the type 2C phosphatase Ptc1 and shows it participates in cell size regulation through the Pom1 kinase. Ptc1 can dephosphorylate Pom1 but modulates its localization indirectly, indicating direct and indirect roles of this protein phosphatase.
