Simultaneous determination of cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, cadmium and lead in urine by ion chromatography

Publication date1992
Abstract

The simultaneous determination of Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb concentrations in urine by ion chromatography is described here. The urine was first mineralized, the metals were preconcentrated on a chelating silica, separated on-line by cation exchange chromatography and detected by using a UV-visible detector. The limit of detection was found to be lower than 1 ppb for all the metals studied.
