The Lower Thanetian to Luterian Grès des Voirons (Haute-Savoie, France) are subdivided into 4 successive associations of Dinoflagellates which are correlated with the calcareous nannoplankton zonation of MARTINI (1971). In an isolated outcrop, an Upper Priabonian Dinoflagellate association was encountered. For lithological, geophysical and age reasons, this association does not belong to the Grès des Voirons. The stratigraphically more important spores and pollen are tabulated. Tentative correlations are proposed between the Paleogene of the Voirons and certain basins of England, France, Belgium and Spain. It was also shown that the contact between the Grès des Voirons and the overlying Conglomérats du Vouan is not synchrone.
