The method of magnetic susceptibility anisotropy has been applied to the granodiorite pluton of Kozak (Bergama, Turkey). Preliminary results show that the magnetic foliation is in agreement with the apparent structure of the massifs. It is hoped to apply such magnetic fabric techniques to various Turkish granite massifs with a view to elucidating their mode of emplacement. A diagram allowing the simultaneous presentation of the type as well as the degree of magnetic anisotropy is discussed.
