Pediatric hand injuries – current treatment recommendations for injuries around the finger joints

Abstract

Pediatric hand injuries are a frequent worldwide cause for trauma consultations. To properly treat these injuries, physicians must be familiar with the particular anatomy and physiology of the growing skeleton. While many current treatment protocols are based on expert opinions this narrative review examined data from published studies to determine evidenced based treatment recommendations if such exist.
