Abstract

Software components can be composed either 'vertically' (in a dependency relationship) or 'horizontally' (equal citizens exchanging information). Most programming languages have mechanisms for vertical composition; horizontal composition is far from being developed at the same level. We propose to investigate this area practically with an experimental scripting language designed for the Unix environment, that tries to enhance the horizontal composition possibilities.
