Abstract

Software clearinghouses are repositories of software and software-related information. A software clearinghouse is accessible by members of an associated software community and serves to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of information within the community. This paper describes a variety of both existing and possible clearinghouses and establishes a set of criteria by which these clearinghouses can be evaluated.
