In old old age, life events mos often are associated with losses. On the basis of SWILSO-O research, the authors resume some results concerning the short- and middle-term effects of life events on the oldest old's well-being. They underline the implications of life events on well-being and identity, as the processes used by the oldest old in order to regulate these consequences.
