1st day: North-south cross-section of the French Alps, from Grenoble to the upperpart of the Guil valley (Queyras), across the Lautaret and the Izoard passes. The Saint Véran copper mine area: geological and structural regional environment; ophiolitic context, distribution and characterisation of the mineralisation. 2nd day: The Pic des Lauzes ophiolitic complex: regional geological environment and structural position; the ophiolitic succession (serpentinites, metagabbros, magmatic breccias, metabasalts and metasedimentary cover); magmatic and ocean-floor processes; alpine tectonic and metamorphic evolution. 3rd day: the Champsaur sandstones : regional structural setting, lithologies ; conditions of deposition, petrography and sources of the detrital material; low-grade Alpine metamorphism, typical parageneses of the greywackes.
