The present text serves as a summary of different notions surrounding size and mass distributions used in literature. While several concepts discussed are often used in different fields individually, they are all interconnected, and these connections are not always well documented. Particularly, the relations between the size and mass distributions are worked out here. The present developments may be helpful to achieve a more unified view of size or mass distributions.
