Financial institutions have historically invested in carbon-intensive industries which pollute the planet and contribute towards climate change. Financial institutions have started to take small steps to reduce their impacts on society but they have a long way to go. This research highlights the role of initiatives and science based methodologies that can help financial institutions measure the level of impact they would experience if they don't change their investment practices.
