Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to contribute to the development of domain decomposition methods which are techniques to solve efficiently large linear or nonlinear systems arising from the discretization of PDEs. Throughout the thesis, a special attention is dedicated to heterogeneous problems, that is problems where multiphysics phenomena are present.
