Abstract

This thesis studies applications of graph complexes. In particular, it investigates two closely related mathematical theories, the Grothendieck-Teichmüller theory in algebraic geometry and the Kashiwara-Vergne theory in Lie theory. Additionally, it contains a proof of a generalization of Duflo's theorem, a classical result in Lie theory.
