This article examines the links between the toponyms Hout-Ihet and Hout-Our in the Western Delta, as well as their reading and the evolution of their spelling. It also seeks to understand their meaning and the evolution of it. Finally, it considers their relationship with the city of Imau and offers a new outline of the religious history of the third province's metropolis of Lower Egypt.
