This is an edition of Der Bestrafte Brudermord, a seventeenth-century German adaptation of Hamlet that did not appear in print until 1781. The present edition of the German text constitutes a supplement to the Arden Shakespeare edition "Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet : Der Bestrafte Brudermord and Romio und Julieta", which contains an English translation, with full introduction and commentary, of the play.
