Abstract

This is an edition of Romio und Julieta, a seventeenth-century German adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. The present edition of the German text constitutes a supplement to the Arden Shakespeare edition "Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet : Der Bestrafte Brudermord and Romio und Julieta" published by Bloomsbury in 2020, which contains an English translation, with full introduction and commentary, of the play.
