Abstract

The maximum entropy method is used to analyse positron annihilation lifetime spectra. We discuss theoretical properties and practical advantages of the method for this application and its utility as an aid in lifetime spectrum analysis. Measured and simulated spectra are analysed using both the maximum entropy technique, and existing methods, and the results compared.
