Abstract

This thesis aims to give an overview of developing research in acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and briefly describe my research and the results I have obtained. Some prognostic biomarkers in the context of ACS and their promising value will be delineated, as well as the contemporary diagnosis and treatment of ACS patients, the value of hemodynamic monitoring of cardiogenic shock (CS) secondary to ACS, and the new advanced devices for cardiopulmonary reanimation in the case of CS and cardiac arrest refractory to conventional therapies. In the last part, my ongoing research activity on each subject and possible future directions will be discussed.
