Magnetization scaling below Tc in Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8 ceramics

We have investigated the reversible magnetization below Tc of the quasi two-dimensional superconducting compound Tl₂Ba₂CaCu₂O₈. All magnetization data collapse on a single curve when plotted as M(T,H)/M(T',H) vs T and M(T,H)/M(T,H') vs H, where T' and H' are freely chosen in the reversible domain. This scaling implies a factorization M M(T,H) = f(T)g(H). In the frame of the London model, one would conclude that Hc2(T) is constant in the scaling region, a puzzling issue. We show that if we take into account additionally the vortex fluctuation term that explains the crossing point {T∗;M∗} where ∂M/∂H|T vanishes, one can explain the scaling using a conventional temperature dependence of Hc2(T).
