Abstract | A high sensitivity coherent optical frequency-domain reflectometer (OFDR) is presented, for measurements of pigtailed optical devices with centimetre resolution. Unique interpretation of the reflectivity data is achieved by frequency shifting the reference reflection and using optical heterodyne detection. | |
