Dispersion equations for plasma waves in a superlattice with a finite number of conducting layers are obtained. It is shown that the existence of surface‐like plasma waves in a finite superlattice is possible under definite conditions which represent the generalization of the well‐known restrictions for the surface waves in semiinfinite superlattices. Results are demonstrated for the case of a superlattice containing N = 3 layers.
