Warrants : some further considerations on their typology

Abstract A reconsideration of the chronological development of the format of warrants, short notes ordering a subordinate to bring an individual before an official. The format was open to influences from other document types, such as petitions. Later, in the third century AD, a shift in the format may be linked to the changing format of private business notes.
