Three new acetylated withanolides, two of which are diacetylated, were isolated from the aerial parts of Iochroma gesnerioides. Furthermore, six methoxylated derivatives were identified, but they are considered to be artefacts produced during the extraction procedures. The structure elucidations were accomplished by spectroscopic methods (1H, 13C and 2D NMR, UV and MS) and by comparison with previously reported data.
