This article examines the use of the Gini Index for the measurement of the degree of inequality among or heterogeneity across the categorizations. The Gini Index may be used to measure such as heterogeneity. Both row vector and column vector are ranked by decreasing value of the average income of each income class. The proportion of total shipments in each cell is given by the following matrix of the values while the expected proportion of total shipment in each cell is given by the matrix corresponding to the product of the margins.
