This research entitled <i>The Linguistic Attractiveness of Languages: A Case Study with the Instances of English, German, Spanish and Portuguese in the Swiss Canton of Geneva</i> shows that for Geneva parents, certain languages bear different values when it comes to educating their children linguistically. Based on the cases of English, German, Spanish and Portuguese, this study confirms that there is indeed a hierarchy among them, obeying the social, communicative, or economic values of these languages. To this end, this study focuses on the linguistic data from 79 households that agreed to answer our online questionnaire. Indeed, while it is always interesting to observe the transmission of a language in a household where the parents are native speakers of that language, the appearance of a language in the child's repertoire when the parents are not native speakers is a sure indicator of its value. Therefore, it is by observing the rate of transmission of the above-mentioned languages, which may or may not occur in the child’s repertoire, that it will be possible to reveal whether, <i>in fine</i>, there are languages that, in Geneva in 2022, are destined to be cut off or transmitted more than others, and if so, why?
