This paper was written by dissecting the construction, jurisdiction, applicable law and the application of environmental damages to determine whether the UNCC is a viable <i>jus post bellum</i> utensil. Through this course of analysis, the examination of the UNCC’s procedure will reveal some irregular procedural practices influenced by the political positions of UN member States. This thesis makes prominent the technical methods used to add a monetary value on environmental damages and its challenges. This study will further set light on how the unique experience of the UNCC can be used as a steppingstone for future reparations.
