But the majority of cases brought to the ICJ's docket relate to concerned individuals who have an interest in the decision and the decision-making process, as they are affected or likely to be affected by it. To what extent are concerned individuals integrated into the procedural mechanisms of the Court, and to what extent are concerned individuals considered in the decisions of the Court? This study's thesis is that individuals impacted by the repercussions of inter-State disputes dealt with by the Court can and should be further integrated into its procedure and further considered in its legal reasoning. lt examines the procedural mechanisms of the Court in various contexts (advisory proceedings, diplomatie protection cases, and more), and the Court's decisions (or practice) in disputes centered on territory, law of the sea, the environment or sources of international law.
