The first article is theory-based; it discusses the potential of women's business networks to function as change agents and puts forward a related research agenda. The second is an empirical exploration of a research avenue from the first article. It analyzes the positioning of a Swiss formal women's business network as an advocacy group and its endeavor to form an advocacy network with its 14 corporate partners; the tensions and implications for the agentic potential of this type of network are then discussed. The third article is methodological, and develops a reflection that started with the development of the research design for the empirical paper. It advocates a wider use of linguistics-based tools for discourse analysts in the field of management and organization studies, whether they adopt a critical or postmodern approach in their research. La thèse de doctorat proposée se compose de trois articles. Le premier article développe une contribution théorique et discute le potentiel des réseaux professionnels de femmes comme agents de changement, et propose un agenda de recherche lié à ces éléments. Le deuxième article présente une exploration empirique d'une voie de recherche du premier article. Il analyse le positionnement d'un réseau professionnel de femmes suisse en tant que groupe d'advocacy et explore leurs efforts de création d'un réseau d'advocacy avec ses quatorze commanditaires corporatifs; les tensions et implications pour les possibilités agentielles de ce type de réseau sont discutées. Le troisième article se veut méthodologique et développe une réflexion qui a débuté par le développement du design de recherche pour l'article empirique décrit ci avant. Il préconise l'utilisation plus large d'outils basés sur la linguistique par les analystes de discours dans la recherche en gestion et en théorie des organisations, qu'ils adoptent une approche critique ou postmoderne dans leurs recherches.
