Since 1997, abortion has been legal in Cambodia within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. However, access to safe services remains limited due to underdeveloped healthcare, lack of information, economic barriers, and social stigma. This thesis explores the socio-demographic factors influencing knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to safe abortion, using data from the 2023 WHS+ survey conducted with 5,275 Cambodian men and women aged 18 to 88. The analysis reveals that while attitudes are generally progressive, half of the population lacks accurate knowledge about safe abortion. Logistic regressions confirm that knowledge and attitudes strongly shape supportive practices. Strengthening public awareness of available services should be a key priority to advance sexual and reproductive rights in Cambodia.
