Abstract

Using social media and taking part of social movement are interlinked to children’s rights to participate. From the perspective of a child agent and active member in transforming their environment, this thesis is trying to answer two main questions: how do children, particularly adolescents aged 12 to 18 years, use social media to participate in social movements? And how could this process support or alter children’s agency?
