Abstract

Asterotrochammina camposi, n. sp., and Asterotrochammina sinuosa, n.sp., are reported from the very shallow waters of the Campos shelf, Brasil, which lie under the influence of the cold water Falkland (Malvin) current. The definition of the genus Asterotrochammina Bermudez and Seiglie, 1963, is emended and the following species are referred to this taxon A. delicatula Bermudez and Seiglie (type species), A. kellettae (Thalmann), A. propria (Cushman), and the new species A. camposi and A. sinuosa.
