Abstract

Published and preliminary electroweak results based on data collected at LEP from 1990 to 1996 and on data from SLD, p̄p colliders and neutrino nucleon scattering experiments are reported. A combined fit to the Standard Model constrains the mass of the top quark and the Higgs boson mass. The fit not including the direct reconstruction of mw and mt gives a top mass of mt = 155⁺¹⁰₋₉ GeV, in good agreement with the direct measurement from CDF and D0. The upper limit for the Higgs mass, derived from a global fit using also the measured values of mw and mt, is 465 GeV at 95% confidence level.
