Abstract

Some enantiomerically enriched 2-substituted-1,2-dihydroquinolines were obtained by the enantioselective addition of organolithium reagents to quinoline. 1,2-Diamines were used as external chiral ligands and enantiomeric excesses up to 64% were obtained.
